Intelligent Multi-Criteria Decision Making system for Supplier Evaluation

Supplier evaluation is an important problem in industrial management. An accurate evaluation can reduce the costs and increase the quality of products. There are various studies for evaluation of suppliers. However, this problem has been complicated by uncertain data and multiple criteria. In this study we develop a Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) to deal with uncertain data and evaluate suppliers. The criteria are inputs of the FIS and the output is the weight supplier. Evaluation of suppliers in Spare Part Department of Mobarakeh Steel Company (SPDMSC) illustrates the accuracy and applicability of the developed system.
